Digital Marketing Thoughts

In my last blog post I discussed search engine optimization, and while you can do as much as you can to improve organic search results it may never be quite enough to ensure you get people to come to your website over the competition. Many companies utilize paid search or engage in what is known in search engine marketing to have their website appear above or near all the top organic searches. This is beneficial to both large companies who want to maintain a strong presence on the search results page or new/smaller companies looking to get a jump start on search engines. Obviously these are clearly displayed as ads and clearly differentiated from organic search results, with them either being located from in a different column or having “ad” or “paid advertisement” next to their site.
