There’s a lot happening today, a solar eclipse for parts of the earth, the moon is at its perigee causing what’s known as a Supermoon, even though it’s a New Moon, and in the Northern Hemisphere it’s the Vernal Equinox, signaling the first day of Spring.

Down here in the Everglades I decided to take advantage of the dark skies and get out early in the morning to photograph Scorpio and the Milky Way while they can best be seen. Turning towards the North I made an image of the star wheel turning around the North Star.
